Good afternoon,

I wanted to inform you about some unfortunate news. My team and I have made the decision to cancel my campaign launch event that was supposed to take place on May 1st at the Cloudcroft Brewing Company.

While I regret to share this with you, I also want to let you know that this was due a conflict with the owner, Jim Maynard, who when he find out that I am a Democratic candidate and because he doesn’t agree with my politics has decided to not allow us to use his venue. I give you my word that I was upfront to him and his staff from the very beginning. To me, this is an unfortunate loss, as my purpose was to bring business to my own community and I thought the Brewery would be a great place to do it. My team did it’s best to find another location, but unfortunately due to the large number of attendees confirmed, we were unable to find a place that could accommodate our needs in such short notice.

You may or may not have seen my Facebook post about it last week, but this served to me as a huge reminder of how loving and caring my community and the people in my District are. I had an overwhelming response from members of the Democratic Party of Otero County in support of me and their displeasement with the owner of this venue. This is why I want to fight so hard for my District!

I am still planning on having a campaign launch event in the coming weeks, so please keep an eye open for the invite. Please feel free to reach out to me or my campaign manager if you have any further questions about this issue.

Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
